Respect standards – Adobe

I thought of navigation agreement in menus:
- pointer – submenu
- dots (…) – next screen will have more options (read – pop-up)
- nothing – action

 

Fig 1 ‘Check for Updates…’ has dots …

 

Fig 2 …. but triggers action

 

I am voting for ‘Check for Updates’ without dots.
