S-H-O-R-T C-U-T

Why shortcuts to folders are sorted separately from folders?
We search them by name not by attribute.
We say – ‘Where is ?’
We do not say – ‘Where is my system folder ?’
We remember a name and a location ON a DESKTOP (like, right top corner).
Shortcut essence is to be a S-H-O-R-T C-U-T or something to be found and used without burning some screen pixels where it logically must be.
I always look for this … … in here before ‘M’
Not quite by ‘Name’ sorting
